Marine & Lawn Golf Hotels began in Scotland in 2021, with the opening of Rusacks St Andrews and Marine North Berwick. The collection was built around a simple idea: create hotels worthy of the legendary courses and destinations they call home.
Devoted to the game and dedicated to the experiences around the round, Marine & Lawn has grown into a collection of storied hotels set beside some of the world’s most coveted courses across Scotland and Northern Ireland, with its first US property opening in North Carolina in 2027.
Founded by AJ Capital Partners, each hotel is rooted in its setting, history and local golf culture, serving as an unofficial clubhouse where the trip unfolds before, during and long after the final putt.
Perched above the Old Course since 1887, Rusacks has watched generations of the game’s greatest players cross the 1st and 18th fairways below. Its place beside the Swilcan Bridge and The Royal and Ancient Clubhouse puts it at the heart of St Andrews’ golfing story.
Overlooking the West Links and Firth of Forth, Marine & Lawn North Berwick has been part of this historic seaside town since 1876. Its story is inseparable from one of the world’s oldest played courses and the distinctive golfing landscape of East Lothian.
Built in 1894, Marine & Lawn Troon has stood beside Royal Troon for more than a century, overlooking the dunes, beaches and Firth of Clyde. Its history has unfolded alongside one of The Open’s most celebrated championship courses.
Since 1898, Slieve Donard has stood between the Mourne Mountains, the Irish Sea and Royal County Down. Its grand Victorian presence has made it a landmark of Newcastle for generations of travellers, golfers and families.
Built in 1904, Marine & Lawn Dornoch has welcomed travellers to this remote Highland town for more than a century. Just steps away, Royal Dornoch has drawn golfers north since Old Tom Morris first walked its fairways in 1886.
Dating to 1855, Marine & Lawn Portrush sits in the heart of a seaside town shaped by Victorian heritage, the North Atlantic and generations of golf. Royal Portrush, one of The Open’s storied championship links, lies just minutes away.
Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1901, Greywalls was built within a “mashie-niblick shot” of Muirfield’s 18th green. Surrounded by historic walled gardens, the Edwardian estate has been part of East Lothian’s golfing landscape for more than a century.
Built in 1927, Pine Needles brings Marine & Lawn’s story to the United States for the first time. Set among North Carolina’s Sandhills and two celebrated Donald Ross-designed courses, it carries forward nearly a century of American golf history.
